There are several things to notice about this jump:
1. The path of the center of gravity always follows a parabola
2. The vertical displacement, or height of the jump, can be measured
from the top of the parabola to level of the center of gravity
at take off, and
3. The horizontal displacement, distance of the jump, can be measured
from the position of the center of gravity at take off to the
position of the center of gravity at landing.
