Origin = Tendons of the flexor digitorum longus.

Insertion = Tendons of th extensor digitorum longus just past the tibial side of the four lesser toes.

Action = Flex the tetarsophalangeal joints of the four lesser toes and extend the interphalgeal joints of the four lesser toes.
