Latissiumus Dorsi

Origin = Spinous processes of last six thoracic vertebrae and all lumbar vertebrae; posterior surface of the sacrum, iliac crest; lower three ribs.

Insertion = Anterior surface of the humerus, parallel to the tendon of the pectoralis major.

Action = GH joint movements of adduction, extension, hyperextension, horizontal abduction and inward rotation.
