Biceps Brachii

Origin = Two heads

Long head - upper rim of the glenoid fossa.

Short head - coracoid process of the scapula.

Insertion = Radial tuberosity.

Action =

Long head - abduction of GH joint when the arm is outwardly rotated.

Short head - glenohumeral joint movements of flexion, adduction, inward rotation, and horizontal adduction.

Note: This is primarily an arm flexor at the elbow joint.
